Sharp/NEC’s Open Modular Intelligence (OMi) platform provides a smart and seamless connection between source and display to deliver powerful, tailored and future proof digital signage and passenger information systems.

The Sharp/NEC accredited partner scheme has been created to give transport clients the confidence that our partners’ Passenger Information Display System (or FIDS) or Digital Signage software has been tested for compatibility with the range of NEC embedded PC modules. These slot-in modules form the back bone of our display systems featuring either the Intel® Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) or its recent evolution the Intel® Smart Display Module (Intel®SDM), or the Raspberry Pi Compute Module.
